“ Talk about a super cute, cozy Thai restaurant that we picked for our first day visiting family in Phoenix. The decor is very colorful and calming and the booths by the wall give a super cozy feel to the whole place. We ordered a papaya salad, pad thai and green curry for 4 of us to share and I can definitely say I enjoyed the beautiful plating, garnishes, and dynamic flavor of all of the dishes. Everything was incredibly flavorful - umami and sweet where it needed to be, a perfect level of spice to what was offered. The service was quick and helpful. I unfortunately had to take a meeting while we were at lunch, but I hope to come back the next time we visit for a round 2 and to really spend my time enjoying the food again! ”

“ If you know me, then you know how much I love my Thai food. I can eat Thai food every day and this Sala Thai location has me wishing I can have their food everyday. The restaurant is small and cozy with about five tables and there is only about 3 people working at a time. They make every dish to order so it is piping hot fresh every time. Service is standard and I think they purposely leave you alone so that you can enjoy your company and your meal. They are attentive when you need their service though. Prices are fair and they have some unique dishes that some other restaurants don't have. I love eating every Thai dish but I have to try the pad thai at every Thai restaurant I go to. If they can make a good pad Thai then they can be trusted to make other dishes too. The pad Thai here was insane. Bright flavors, hefty portion, and perfectly spiced. No dish has disappointed me and I'm a fan. I will be back 100 times more. ”

However, this location is definitely on the smaller side -- There's about 8 tables. Despite the restaurant being small, the service was quick, our food came out quick, and it was delicious. We ordered fresh shrimp spring rolls, chicken pad thai, and khao soi. The shrimp spring rolls were refreshing and the khao soi had amazing flavor. The only downside was that the chicken pad thai was over sauced. Overall, I highly recommend getting takeout or visiting Sala Thai in Tempe and I look forward to visiting again. ”
“ Great spot! Food was fresh and flavorful. I got the papaya salad with a level 4 spice. It was the perfect balance of spicy, tangy and funky. I loved the addition of lemon pieces. The chicken satay was perfectly cooked and had some great char on it which added another depth of flavor. My husband got the drunken noodles with a level 4 spice and they were delicious, packed with chicken and veggies. The service was quick, efficient and attentive. The inside of the restaurant is very well decorated with unique art pieces and neon lights. Definitely check them out if you're looking for great priced and flavorful Thai food. ”
